Gamesdays are an informal gathering of gamers interested in getting out to meet new people and play some new (or old) games. There is no registraion, slots or pre-arranged games - just drop in and play! All players are welcome to join. Although the drop-in nature of the event tends to lend itself best to board games, we generally have some Magic, Warhamer, and roleplaying games going as well. The canteen will be open, a few vendors are usually in attendance, and there is a good selection of games from which to choose (we do encourage you to bring your own games as well).
We listen to your requests! This year, as a result of feedback from recent gamesday attendees, we are experimenting with a limited number of pre-organized events that you will be able to sign up for at the canteen.
Attendance is free, but it does cost Prairiecon money for hall rental. Please help us to cover these costs by purchasing snacks at our canteen and buying tickets for our prize draw.
Fall Gamesday will be October 13, 2012 at St. Matthews Anglican Church (403 13th Street) from 12:30 - Midnight. PrairieCon would like to thank the Brandon Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation for supporting the Fall Gamesday through their community projects program!
Winter Gamesday will be January 19, 2013 at St. Matthews Anglican Church (403 13th Street) from 12:30 - Midnight.
Spring Gamesday will be March 16, 2013 at St. Matthews Anglican Church from 12:30 - Midnight. And yes, we know that spring doesn't officially start until March 21, but it's coming early to Prairiecon!
